About the thesis
This research examines congenital adrenal hyperplasia, an inherited condition causing cortisol deficiency that usually demands lifelong medication. The investigation finds that accumulating precursor steroids can partially act in place of cortisol. It also provides a way to distinguish adrenal-derived androgens from testicular androgens in children. Additionally, the thesis assesses personalized treatment strategies, showing that testing saliva instead of blood lessens the burden of monitoring patients.
