About the thesis
The thesis addresses pressure on healthcare to reorganise. As the population ages, demand for care rises while the number of healthcare staff falls, which threatens access to care. To counter that risk, the sector is continually changing. New technologies and altered ways of working mean professionals must adapt to shifting conditions, learn from fresh experiences, deal constructively with challenges and devise answers to problems that emerge. The argument is that healthcare organisations need staff who can function adaptively if access to care is to be safeguarded.
